Billed as “3 Days of Peace & Music,” Woodstock attracted 400,000 kids swept up by the counterculture of the 1960s.

The historic music festival featured performances by Carlos Santana; the Grateful Dead; Creedence Clearwater Revival; Janis Joplin; The Who; Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young; and Jimi Hendrix.
