Schultz has recruited well-known Republican operatives who’ve tired of Trump, including the National Republican Congressional Committee’s 2018 political director.
Polling suggests Schultz would play a spoiler for the Democrats. A recent survey from Emerson showed Trump leading Elizabeth Warren in Iowa by four, but when the CEO-turned-politician was included, the president’s advantage in the Hawkeye State grew to nine.
