The Dems were hesitant to debate the president in the meeting, very reluctant.
Pelosi and Schumer were quaking in their boots as Trump tried to debate them, Pelosi said they shouldn’t debate there and should wait till the cameras turn off and then talk. Chuck Schumer jumped in at this point and let Trump know that he also thought that their back-and-forth was best suited for private discussion.
