However, the incumbent decided for one reason or another not to embrace the president.
Faso lost to a New York City transplant, Antonio Delgado, by three percentage points.
Commenting the day after, President Trump revealingly said this about the defeats, “I’m not sure if I should be happy or sad, but I feel just fine about it.”
