Democrats are very successful at nominating supposed “moderates” in conservative districts and states. Their track record of doing so was evident in 2006, 2008 and quite frankly, last night.
Among the biggest disappointments this cycle was the stunning Democratic victories in Oklahoma’s 5th District and South Carolina’s 1st District, both having a Partisan Voter Index (PVI) of R+10.
These wolves in sheep’s clothing don’t represent their districts’ best interests.
Yet complacency will get them elected every time.
Fortunately, Andy Barr wasn’t caught asleep at the wheel. The representative for Kentucky’s 6th District embraced the president and campaigned relentlessly.
His race was one of the first called last night.
