Bredesen’s campaign treasurer, Virginia Lodge, was featured in one of Bredesen’s most recent campaign ads. Unfortunately, this is a big no-no according to Tennessee State Rep. Rick Tills.
The issue is that Lodge’s name was on a campaign website on a page requesting donations, while that isn’t a crime – the fact that she’s also on the Tennessee Valley Authority board may be a violation of the Hatch Act. Tills has filed a formal complaint, according to the Tennessean.
