Rep. Hunter wanted to go on vacation under then guise that he was touring a Navy base in Naples, Italy. Unfortunately, the Navy said that there was no opening that weekend for him to come. The five-term lawmaker became incensed, telling his chief of staff that “the Navy can go f**k themselves.”
In the end, Hunter still went on a $14,200 vacation to Italy, listing it as a campaign expenditure.
