The Soviet Union was a nation hell-bent on the destruction of descent. When things got tight(bureaucrats tried to farm) and food was on the low instead of starving the people who supported the party and caused this failure, they chose to punish the poor people of Ukraine who were far away. One of the worst parts of this man-made famines was that The New York Times helped enable it, the made propaganda for the Soviets so that no one would know what was happening. The mass starvation was a travesty and millions died, let’s not let this happen here!
