Fish, the president and publisher of the progressive The New Republic, resigned in disgrace after complaints from disgusted female employees piled up.
In almost unbelievable hubris, Fish played up his liberal credentials in a pathetic apology, saying:
“Women have longstanding and profound concerns with respect to their treatment in the workplace. Many men have a lot to learn in this regard. I know I do, and I hope for and encourage that new direction.”
