In a Reuters poll conducted between December 20-26th, Donald Trump remains the Republican frontrunner, garnering a healthy 37 percent of the vote. Ted Cruz came in second at 13.7 percent, a full 24 points behind Trump, with establishment favorite Marco Rubio polling at 11.9 percent.
In an interesting development, Rand Paul seemed to gain some momentum, moving into the top 6, with 3.6 percent of the vote, garnering a larger share of voters between age 5–65, a demographic not normally associated with the libertarianish Kentucky Senator. It’s a sign his debate performances may be getting him some much needed recognition. But is it too little too late?
