President Donald Trump’s rally last night in New Mexico is the latest evidence the president’s re-election campaign is looking at expanding the map by trying to flip several new states to the Republican column in 2020. This coordinated effort is especially important given Trump’s tenuous victories in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania and as southern states like Arizona and Texas threaten to realign politically, thanks to migration from California.
