Alex Jones has released the full version of audio he secretly recorded of Megyn Kelly – an exchange that sounds more diplomatic than damning.
The notorious conspiracy theorist published a 30-minute YouTube video early Friday containing about 10 minutes of pre-interview audio from Kelly, in which she tells him: “I’m not looking to portray you as a bogeyman.”
But the allegedly bombshell recording depicts nothing more than a friendly phone conversation between Jones and Kelly as she tries to convince him to appear on her new show.
“Trust me when I tell you that my goal is not to go out there and be like ‘Oh my god, if I sit with her, she’s going to kill me,’” Kelly told Jones in the phone call. “But of course I’m going to do a fair interview, I’m still me. I’m not going to go out there and be Barbara Walters.”
