Liberal activists are threatening to kill the daughter of Cambodian refugees for an ad criticizing socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
“I’m currently getting death threats since the ad aired,” Elizabeth Heng, founder of New Faces of the GOP, tells Breitbart News.
Heng’s ad, featuring a photograph of Ocasio-Cortez burning away to reveal images of socialist genocide, aired during CNN’s broadcast of the Democratic presidential primary debate.
Heng is the daughter of Cambodian refugees. Cambodia’s socialist government killed between one to three million people between 1975 and 1979.
“If we want to talk about what incites violence, socialism does,” said Heng. “My parents lived through a socialist regime that murdered millions of innocent civilians, and I’m currently getting death threats since the ad aired. The only people inciting violence are the radical left, who can’t defend their ideas with facts, so they resort to horrible personal attacks, and as we’ve seen, even death threats.”
Ocasio-Cortez responded to the ad by going into hysterics and accusing Heng, a minority, of “racism.”
Ocasio-Cortez usually responds to criticism by accusing the speaker of sexually harassing her, but as Heng is a woman, Ocasio-Cortez’s liberal instincts went next to “racism.”
“I put out an ad challenging AOC’s socialist views, and she came back and called me a bunch of names. That should tell you everything you really need to know about the face of socialism, right now, in our country.”
“I want [Ocasio-Cortez] to have a voice,” said Heng. “I just don’t agree with it, but I also would expect her and the radical left to respect my voice, too, so that we can have some discussion in this country. The ideas she continues to push have actually killed people throughout the world. Those dead bodies that you see on there that some deem as provocative, they could very well have been some of my own family members. This is why I have a personal story to cite against socialism because it can’t come to the forefront of America.”
Radicalized by Ocasio-Cortez’s wailing, her followers began targeting Heng with death threats.
