Earlier today, CNN debuted a promotional advertisement on Twitter reiterating its purported commitment to objective reporting.
“Some people might try to tell you that it’s a banana.” #FactsFirst pic.twitter.com/LbmRKiGJe9
— CNN (@CNN) October 23, 2017
Aside from conveniently ignoring decades of malicious bias, the ad overlooks other salient criticisms.
To start, CNN’s assertion that an apple is an apple and a banana is a banana runs counter to their fickle commitment to the truth as seen in headlines like this: Trans Man Expecting First Child.
Regardless of the biochemical makeup that compels a person of one gender to feel like they belong to the other, your chromosomes do not change. Of course, we have seen how political correctness casts doubt on once incontrovertible facts.
CNN has slandered the Tea Party since its debut in the political arena, by parroting the Democratic Party’s talking points. Their journalists, residing in virtual bubbles surrounding New York and DC ridicule half of the country on a daily basis.
In spite these journalists’ supposed tolerance they cannot see the world throw other people’s eyes. They have no concept of the world outside of their ideological echo chamber.
Instead of proving a point, the ad reveals CNN’s — and the mainstream media’s — gaping flaws. Being as statuesque as Wolf Blitzer doesn’t make you objective. All it shows is that you have a flat affect and possibly depression.
So yes, CNN, we conservatives agree that an apple is indeed an apple. It just so happens you feign ignorance when the facts go against your narrative. Perhaps you should focus on your problems. (RELATED: IRONY: 175 Black Employees Sue CNN For Discrimination)
