Ryan Nash, an NYPD officer, was responding to a routine call in Lower Manhattan when he encountered a terrorist in the midst of a killing spree.
On Tuesday, October 31 Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov murdered seven people with a truck after barreling down a New York City bike trail.
Saipov emigrated to America through the State Department’s so-called ‘Diversity Visa Program.’ It is unclear when he became radicalized.
After coming to a stop, Saipov opened the door of the pickup and shouted “Allahu akbar!” — Arabic for “God is great!” — before running away.
Nash pursued, drew his weapon, and fired the shot that took down Saipov.
