Matt Lauer, the longtime anchor of NBC’s “Today,” was immediately fired this morning for compelling evidence of sexual misconduct.
NBC executives said they learned of their star’s predatory behavior from a colleague less than 48 hours ago.
Lauer’s stunned co-hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb announced the news at the start of the network’s flagship program.

Although this was the first official complaint against Lauer in 20 years at NBC News, head honchos revealed to the “Today” staff that they had reason to believe this wasn’t an isolated incident.
Recently, NBC News fired a senior executive – Matt Lauer’s booker – for “inappropriate conduct” with women.
