Just when you thought serial pew-groper and Congressman John Conyers (D-Mich.) couldn’t get any creepier, a new allegation drops.

In today’s Washington Post, a former intern for the disgraced Congressman revealed she quit her internship in the early 2000s after Conyers drove her home one night before fondling and propositioning her.

After finally arriving at her apartment and having rebuked his sexual advances, the then 70-something federal representative ominously told the college-age female assistant that he had insider information about the investigation into the then-recent disappearance of Chandra Levy.

If you don’t remember, Chandra Levy was a promising 22-year-old intern living in Washington, D.C. in the summer of 2001. A powerful Congressman, Gary Condit (D-Calif.), had seduced the young Levy and was having an extramarital affair – despite being her father’s age.

Here’s her account:

Morse told The Post she quit her internship after Conyers drove her home from work one night, wrapped his hand around hers as it rested in her lap, and told her he was interested in a sexual relationship. When she rejected his advances, Morse said he brought up the then-developing investigation into the disappearance of former federal intern Chandra Levy.

“He said he had insider information on the case. I don’t know if he meant it to be threatening, but I took it that way,” Morse said in an interview. “I got out of the car and ran.”

Washington Police eventually cleared Condit of any wrongdoing. In 2009, they arrested Ingmar Guandique, an illegal immigrant who had attacked multiple women off the running trail investigators found Levy’s skeleton a year after her disappearance. Prosecutors granted Guandique a new trial in 2015, and the following year decided they would drop his charges, and 60-year prison sentence and have him deported. The case has since gone cold.
