Leftists may plan to bring criminal charges against President Donald Trump in a scheme cooked up by New York City’s socialist mayor and radical leftist prosecutor.
The plot could lead to leftists seeking Trump’s arrest just before Election Day.
“The de Blasio administration has referred findings from a review of the Trump Organization’s property tax filings to the Manhattan district attorney’s office, Mayor Bill de Blasio said Friday morning,” POLITICO reports.
De Blasio claims the figures on the Trump Organization’s appeal of a New York property tax bill don’t match what he listed on loan documents, which de Blasio and others claim could be an act of criminal fraud.
He has referred his claims to Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance, Jr., a radical leftist whose father actively collaborated with Iran and other anti-American regimes. Vance has seized Trump’s bank and tax records as part of a planned criminal investigation.
“ProPublica and WNYC’s investigation raised questions about what was reported to the Tax Commission versus bank lenders,” reads a statement from de Blasio’s office. “The Manhattan [district attorney] is the proper jurisdiction to investigate these claims, as the city can only review what is directly reported to us. The [district attorney] has the jurisdiction to take appropriate steps if they find wrongdoing.”
Federal regulators have not made such an accusation, which appears only in materials written by the leftist group “Pro Publica.”
The federal Justice Department’s standing policy is the sitting president cannot be indicted or arrested. But New York prosecutors do not claim to follow the same policy.
It appears the plan is to smear Trump just before the election by criminally charging him, and possibly issuing a warrant for his arrest just before impressionable swing voters cast their ballots.
While Vance may seek to jail Trump, his office actively defended liberal megadonor and notorious pedophile Jeffry Epstein, asking a judge to reduce his status as a child sex offender even though they were supposed to be prosecuting him.
“I’m a little overwhelmed because I have never seen a prosecutor’s office do anything like this,” a stunned New York Supreme Court Judge Ruth Pickholtz told Vance’s office before rejecting their request. “I have done so many [sex offender registration hearings] much less troubling than this one where the [prosecutor] would never make a downward argument like this.”
Vance’s office also refused to file charges against Democrat megadonor and serial rapist Harvey Weinstein, even after Weinstein admitted raping one of his victims.
