Kerkow was a member of the Black Panthers, who authorities still want for her participation in a 1972 airline hijacking of a flight from Los Angeles to Seattle. Kerkow claimed she had a bomb and demanded half a million in cash.
After the passengers were allowed to disembark, Kerkow and her accomplice stole the plane and, aside from an arrest overseas in 1975, disappeared.
