A male gunman remains at large, and a high school on lockdown after a shooting rampage has left 20 to 50 students and faculty injured and multiple people dead.

The Coast Guard and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department have deployed helicopters to assist with evacuating the wounded to area hospitals.
In a text message shared with the CBS affiliate in Miami, a student revealed they’re still hiding in a closet.
“All of a sudden there was a really loud noise… people are crying in the closet,” the student shared with CBS 4.
Local police urge students and faculty to remain barricaded until officers locate them.
