Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) lashed out at former FBI Director James Comey and his forthcoming book, “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership,” saying that Comey is simply “politicizing” the FBI and that the book is “beneath the dignity” of the FBI itself.

Gowdy, during an appearance on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” Friday, explained that with his decidedly anti-Trump book, Comey has only politicized the otherwise neutral FBI.
“I can’t think of anyone who’s done a better job of politicizing the FBI than he has in the last 36 to 48 hours, by talking about tanning bed goggles and the length of a tie,” Gowdy said. “That is beneath the dignity of the offices that he held.”
“A Higher Loyalty” takes aim at many things Trump-related, but notably pokes fun at the president’s physical appearance, including his purported small hand size.
