Mark Zuckerberg had another trip to D.C. this week but this time it wasn’t over Facebook’s alleged censoring of conservatives.
No, this time his congressional lecture was supposed to be about the new cryptocurrency, Libra, that Facebook is creating.
However, Congress made it abundantly clear it would not ask Zuckerberg about how blockchain works, the tax implications of the new cryptocurrency, and how this will affect vendors on Facebook or really anything related to the matter at hand.
Instead, congressional Democrats took this opportunity to make fools of themselves by asking ridiculous off-topic questions. Here are the highlights:
