Officials in Texas reported an active shooter at a local high school.
Santa Fe High School, approximately 40 miles south of Houston, is currently on lockdown as law enforcement personnel swarm the campus.
Assistant Principal Cris Richardson confirmed that two suspects are in custody.
The University of Texas said gunshot victims were en route to its satellite hospital. The total number of casualties is unknown, but at least eight students are dead and one police officer is among the injured.
