Otto’s story is as well known as it is heartbreaking. Although President Trump helped secure his freedom amid increasing international furor rightfully aimed at North Korea, Otto returned in a vegetative state, a byproduct of the sadistic torture at the hands of his captors. He died shortly after coming home.
