Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal told Daily Caller News Foundation co-founder Tucker Carlson on Wednesday that being “pro-America” means being “pro-Trump,” adding it was time for the United States to elect a “logical leader” like President Donald Trump.
Prior to Trump’s win in November, Democrats pushed the narrative that the president was not only a “fascist” but also a threat to democracy. On “The Tucker Carlson Show,” Carlson asked Talal if he had been “anti-Trump” before the president’s win. Talal immediately said no, adding that Saudi Arabia couldn’t be against Trump because they want America to succeed.
“We can’t be anti-Trump, you know, because we are pro-America. We have to be pro-Trump, especially with the new policies that he’s taking right now. You know, I’m very much conservative, socially speaking,” Talal said. “All his policies right now in being anti-woke, being anti-left-wing, being anti-all those crazy things that’s happening on the left. We are for sure pro-Trump on these matters.”
“Also all his policies, economic policies that are looking after the eradication of the U.S. deficit. These are all conservative policies that we support. Look, I live in America — [I] graduated from the West Coast, you know, from the University in California, and I finished my master’s in the East Coast in America,” Talal added. “So we all love America. We want America to be strong.”
Following Trump’s win, the president vowed to bring peace to the Middle East as Israel and Hamas have been at war for over a year. During a discussion with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday, the president reportedly discussed ways to end the war, aligning his goal of peace agreements on five fronts: with Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, broader Arab and Muslim states, and the Palestinians, according to The Hill.

Carlson went on to ask Talal his thoughts regarding the last eight years as he watched “the woke, the sexual politics in the United States.”
“I mean, it went just too far, too much, you know, really,” Talal said. “It’s about time for America to get a logical person, a pragmatic person like Trump. I know some of his policies are extreme to some people, but his social policies, being anti-woke, being anti-left-wing completely, being too liberal. I mean, these are really policies that, you know, this is illogical.”
“I’m a religious person. You know, America is still a very conservative country. One of the main ingredients of the success of Trump in the last election was really his social policies,” Talal said. “Many people in America believe that America went too much to the left. So I think getting back America to the center, at least the center, not necessarily to the right, the center, that in itself is a big achievement for America.”
Despite Democrats pushing left-wing policies regarding social justice and climate change, voters consistently polled that their top concerns revolved around the economy, immigration, and inflation. In a Center Square Voters’ Voice Poll conducted in October by Noble Predictive Insights, 59% of respondents stated they supported a federal ban on sex-change procedures, including puberty blockers and gender reassignment surgeries for minors — despite a handful of Democrats advocating for transgender individuals to have access to such procedures.
