Recently departed Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle is threatening a reporter from the liberal Huffington Post with legal action.
Carlos Garcia, at TheBlaze, reports:
On Friday reports arose that the co-host of “The Five” was leaving Fox News in order to join a political committee supporting the agenda of President Donald Trump. Huffington Post reporter Yashar Ali published an article claiming that she had not left voluntarily, citing three anonymous sources.
On Monday, Ali tweeted that a law firm representing Guilfoyle had contacted him and the Huffington Post and threatened to sue them both over the story.
1. Kimberly Guilfoyle has retained the law firm of Clare Locke & sent a threatening legal notice to HuffPost and me. Saying that my story had false and defamatory claims and that if the story wasn’t retracted it would constitute evidence of “actual malice.”(The story is accurate) https://t.co/jKQ5CcFW4s

…
“The story is accurate,” he added defiantly in a parenthetical, apparently indicating that they were not going to retract the story.
Fox News had released a statement about the story on Friday. It was very curt. “Fox News has parted ways with Kimberly Guilfoyle,” the statement read.
For her part, Guilfoyle confirmed yesterday that she joined a pro-Trump political action committee and offered thanks and praise to her Fox colleagues.
Today I have a bitter-sweet announcement. I’ve decided to leave Fox News Channel and dedicate myself full time to joining America First as Vice Chairwoman, campaigning across the country and firmly standing with President Trump. (Part 1 of 2)

Guilfoyle is also in an increasingly serious relationship with the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr.
