Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is on lockdown due to an ongoing active shooter situation reported at the base’s hospital approximately 30 minutes ago.
An emergency notification sent to base personnel said first responders were on site and asked everyone to take cover.
At approximately 12:40 p.m., base emergency responders (security forces, fire department) responded to a reported Active Shooter incident at the base hospital.
Base personnel have been directed to shelter in place until the incident is investigated

WCPO Cincinnati reports:
All gates at the base are closed.
The newspaper reports emergency dispatch traffic indicated someone may be barricaded inside the medical center.
Besides local law enforcement, the FBI is reportedly on scene.
