Rep. Hunter’s scheme came crashing down when he went on an all-out partying spree in March of 2016. He spent $1,163 at a bachelor party while buying 30 shots of world-renowned tequila. Throughout that month, $688 from his campaign coffers went to his nephew’s plane tickets, another $271 went to a gaming computer mouse and keyboard (seriously), and, before all was said and done, a $600+ Easter brunch, several rounds of golf, numerous drinks, and hotel rooms.
