After his wrestling career, Jordan road the 1994 Republican wave to the Ohio House of Representatives.
He served for three terms before winning a seat in the Ohio Senate with 88% of the vote.
Jordan successfully made the switch to Congress after two terms in the state senate. Since January 2007, he has represented Ohio’s 4th congressional district stretching from north-central Ohio to suburban Cleveland.
Jordan previously chaired the Republican Study Committee and founded the conservative Freedom Caucus in 2015. The caucus is made up of Tea Party and libertarian members to give their movement a united and formidable voice.
