Over five million people turned into Fox News on Thursday to watch the Senate Judiciary Committee’s contentious hearing with Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

According to Nielsen Media numbers, Fox averaged 5,691,000 viewers from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with coverage of the hearing led by Bret Baier, Martha MacCallum and Chris Wallace.
The staggering ratings continued into the primetime shows, where “Tucker Carlson Tonight” garnered 5,283,000 viewers, “Hannity” earned 5,857,000, and “The Ingraham Angle” snagged 5,369,000.
Fox News managed to beat both MSNBC and CNN combined, with MSNBC averaging 2,892,000 viewers from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and CNN averaging 2,515,000.
MSNBC averaged 3,176,000 viewers in primetime and CNN averaged 1,896,000.
Rachel Maddow finished fourth in viewership, behind Hannity, Ingraham, and Carlson, making her Fox’s closest competition.
