The attorneys for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault 36 years ago, have refused Sen. Grassley’s (R-IA) requests to turn over crucial documentary evidence to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Per Townhall:

“I write to renew my requests for material evidence relevant to allegations of sexual assault made by your client, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, against Judge Brett Kavanaugh. During the hearing last week, Senator Kamala Harris argued that it was only fair for senators on the Committee to see the evidence that the witness was being asked to address. The same principle applies to this request,” Grassley wrote in a letter to Debra Katz, Lisa Banks and Michael Bromwich. “Your continued withholding of material evidence despite multiple requests is unacceptable as the Senate exercises its constitutional responsibility of advice and consent for a judicial nomination. I urge you to comply promptly with my requests.”

Grassley is requesting a copy of the therapy session notes during which Ford discussed the allegation of sexual assault. The notes were provided to The Washington Post two weeks ago, but have not been provided to the Committee.

“These notes have been repeatedly cited as corroboration even while written 30 years after the alleged event and in apparent contradiction with testimony and other public statement regarding several key details of the allegations, including when the alleged attack occurred, how many individuals were present in the bedroom in which the attack was alleged to have occurred, and how many individuals attended the party,” the letter states.

Grassley is also requesting copies for “all audio or video recording produced” during a polygraph test taken by Ford, in addition to other information used by the administrator of the test in preparation of the results.

The unvarnished truth about Dr. Ford’s polygraph remains of particular importance because the Judiciary Committee received a sworn statement from an old boyfriend of Dr. Ford, stating he personally witnessed Ford coaching a friend on polygraph tests.
