There was some of the good, the bad and the ugly in last night’s election.
The bottom line: When all is said and done Republicans expect to lose about 35 seats in the House. Not a true wave and certainly not as bad as the 2010 Tea Party shellacking President Obama received when Democrats lost 63 seats.
But it still spells big headaches for the Trump administration, its legislative agenda, and even the president himself.
At the same time, Republicans exceeded expectations in the Senate.
The GOP appears to have picked up three seats in the Upper Chamber and are leading in a fourth that remains too close to call.
These gains will make the process of confirming conservative justices significantly easier.
Although Republicans lost six governorships, they notched two victories in marquee races – Florida and Ohio.
Moreover, these 16 GOP rockstars prevailed and are in a strong position to help President Trump rebuild in time for 2020!
