After Bill Clinton’s inauguration, Barr spent 14 years as a corporate executive in the telecommunications industry, from Verizon to GTE Corporation.
In 2009, Barr became an independent director of the multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate Time Warner Inc., now known as WarnerMedia.
He’s currently employed at Kirkland & Ellis, the world’s highest-grossing law firm, in Washington, D.C. There, Barr advises their clientele on enforcement and regulatory issues, reports the Washington Post.
