The years-long covered-up relationship between Great Britain’s Prince Andrew and deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein is but the latest reminder of why we’re glad to be done with the U.K.’s antiquated and untouchable monarchy.
It’s unlikely Andrew will be arrested for credible rape allegations against him unless he comes to the United States anytime soon.
That said, The Crown does an exceptional job of giving an unvarnished view into the dissolving British Empire and how, under a reluctant Queen Elizabeth II, the Royal Family dealt with triumph and, more often, tragedy.
