Last fall, deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein said stories of him wanting to wear a wire when talking privately with the president and discussing the 25th amendment with his deputies were nothing but a poor attempt at humor.
However, McCabe told Pelley that a genuinely concerned Rosenstein offered to wear a wire with the president multiple times and discussed the legal ramifications with the FBI’s lawyers.
Small wonder Rosenstein isn’t inclined to testify in front of Congress.
