Audie Murphy is one of the most decorated soldiers in history and received the Medal of Honor during his service in WWII. At Colmar Pocket in December of 1944 Murphy and his unit ran a counter-attack against the Germans. He orders his men to fall back and held back the German army alone. He was mounted in a .50 Caliber machine gun while calling in artillery strikes, after being wounded he rushed back to his men, refused medical treatment, and led a successful counter-Attack on the Germans.
