The loss of life is always tragic, particularly when it involves young children.
But context matters.
If you browsed mainstream media websites today you almost undoubtedly came across a harrowing photograph of two deceased migrants – a father and his 23-month-old daughter – face down in the Rio Grande.
The image is heartbreaking and Democrats can’t wait to share in their scorched earth attempt to destroy President Trump.
However, they were strangely silent during the rising number of migrant deaths on our border during the Obama years.
Even now, they remain staunchly opposed to resolving the issue, despite Mexico’s newfound commitment to border security.
Per RedState:
It should be remembered that Trump’s approval took a dip when the story of children being separated at the border hit. Democrats are counting on your emotional reaction to this photo to do the same just in time to make this a 2020 election issue.
The Democrats are sinking to new lows with old lies.
Oddly enough, this has been happening for years, especially during the Obama administration’s time in power, yet no one seemed to care. In fact, Breitbart’s Brandon Darby has been sounding the alarm with on the ground reporting before Trump was even in office.
