Obamacare has been a total disaster, and it’s wildly unpopular in America. Millions of Americans who were told that if they liked their healthcare, they could keep it were instead tossed on to exchanges or saw their rates skyrocket. But the worst is yet to come:

A new poll found 76 percent of Americans are concerned about Obamacare’s 40 percent tax on premium health plans, better known as the Cadillac tax,  going into effect.

The survey, put out by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Manufacturers, and the Business Roundtable on Wednesday, shows just 9 percent said they didn’t see the implementation as a problem while 15 percent said they were unsure.

The tax was intended to generate $87 billion over the course of 10 years to expand government healthcare.

The Cadillac Tax is  a win-win for Obama. Including it in his platform allowed him to sell his program as fiscally stable, but punting on its implementation until 2018 allows him to get off scot free. Republicans will be forced to find new ways to fund the program, either searching for new revenue streams or imposing even greater debt obligations on the American taxpayer.
