A 19-year-old woman called the police and told them that she was the victim of a hate crime. She alleged that four young men pulled up to her car and shouted “Trump 2016,” and then told her to go back to her own country. She then told the police that she woke up to find her tires slashed and a note on her car that read “Go Home.”
The big problem with this story? It didn’t happen, but don’t take that from us. The woman who made up the story is the one who admitted to making it up after being questioned by the police.
She was charged for making false statements to the police.
