Salvatore “Sal” Cincinelli gave up the prospect of seven-figure salaries on Wall Street for a much lower-paying, far more dangerous career in the FBI.
Cincinelli quickly climbed the Bureau’s ranks, leading financial-crime investigations in New York City before receiving a promotion to Washington, D.C.
In January 2017, the DOJ and FBI launched an investigation into allegations that the Clinton Foundation partook in pay-to-play scandals and other illegal activities during Hillary Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State.
We have not been able to corroborate if Cincinelli was still in New York at the time, leading that investigation.
Biographical information previously posted online no longer appears available.
Nine days ago, first responders found a mortally wounded Cincinelli in an Austin, Texas bar. He was out with other federal agents.
Cincinelli, 41, had at least one gunshot wound.
A since-deleted obituary said Cincinelli died July 17.
A spokesperson for the Austin Police said the department is treating the incident as a suicide. She wouldn’t elaborate.
The FBI has also declined to comment on his death.
Despite nearly two weeks elapsing, the New York Post and New York Daily News broke the story less than 24 hours ago.
Two months earlier, Cincinelli confronted a piece of disastrous news for his family.
Authorities in New York arrested Cincinelli’s sister, Valerie, a veteran NYPD cop, for allegedly plotting to kill her husband and his teenage daughter.

Sounds very odd. How does a man at a bar out with other agents commit suicide by shooting himself? Sounds very suspicious.
Anything about the Clinton’s is suspicious. They don’t want anyone that were guards to live long after they are out of office. Every guard that worked for the Clinton’s is dead.
