Georgetown University will be changing the names of two buildings on its campus, Mulledy Hall and McSherry Hall. Why change the names? The two individuals in question were involved in the selling of slaves in 1830. Several of the campus’ students were outraged over the name of the building their dorms were in but most were not aware of who the buildings were named after. The buildings will be renamed Freedom Hall and Remembrance Hall, respectively.
