A guy tried rob a laundromat in South Carolina and he got more than he bargained for. He found the 80 year old owner inside and what happened next was more than the burglar expected.
From WLTX:
The great-grandfather says he was sitting in his store Wednesday afternoon when the suspect entered the store. An incident report states the robber was wearing a mask from the movie “Scream” and all black.
Police say the suspect. who was armed with a gun, demanded a cash box. The owner said the suspect could take the box, which he did, and ran out of the store.
However, the owner followed picked up his .25 pistol, followed the suspect out of the store, and fired one round into the air. That started the suspect, who dropped the box and ran into a nearby vehicle, which then left the scene.
The car is described as a pea green Nissan or Toyota.
As of writing, the suspect has not been captured by police.
The old man was armed with a small .25 pistol. Those types of firearms are often known as “Saturday Night Specials.” They’re small and cheap handguns.
Liberals have been trying to ban them for decades. They believe that those types of firearms are used disproportionately in crimes.
However, those cheap handguns make self-defense accessible to more people than it otherwise would be. One of those cheap handguns may have saved an old man’s life.
It’s not the guns that cause crime, it is the people who are misusing them that cause it.
