Oscar-nominated actress Bette Midler tweeted a problematic poem about Mitch McConnell, apparently not caring that it perpetuates negative racial sexual stereotypes.
Per Twitchy:
Bette Midler is at it again, this time with a crude (and racist!) poem directed at Sen. Mitch McConnell:
Old McConnell has a farm
Where no white man will come to harm
He just wants a home
Where no minorities roam
So no one has a dick bigger than his.— Bette Midler (@BetteMidler) August 13, 2019
First up, does she know McConnell married a minority?
His wife, Elaine Chao, is Asian. They’ve been married for decades.
Shame. I loved you as an actress, but you’re insane and also apparently racist. https://t.co/08r616N2Bi

She really should read up on Ms. Chao:
Mitch McConnell’s wife is Elaine Chao who was born in Taipei, Taiwan. She came to the US at age 8. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College and Harvard University. She the first Asian American woman in U.S. history to be appointed to a President’s Cabinet. “No minorities roam”?

And second, we will point out that it’s quite racist to push this “negative racial sexual stereotype about penis size”: [emphasis added]
Another problematic tweet from Bette Midler. She’s gone from calling black people who vote the wrong way “blackground” to race fetishism and pushing negative racial sexual stereotype about penis size, which are considered racist. This is all you are to them. A body not a mind.

Of course, Midler isn’t the only one capable of crafting a poem in 280 characters or less.
Old Bette Midler was a star
But now she’s fallen very far
Now only on Twitter can we see
Her spiral into obscurity— Robert Bowen (@Bubbavonzipper) August 14, 2019
Old Bette Midler has a pharma
Where every night she gets lit and starts drama
When the barrels run dry she gets on Twitter to cry
Stop the pills, stop the drink, stop the rant and go to bed.— JDStunda (@JDStunda) August 14, 2019
