After desperately trying to convince the American people that she’s not corrupt, it looks like Hillary Clinton might have finally given up.
Last night, her campaign Twitter account—@HillaryClinton—proudly tweeted an article called: “How to Choose Between the Most Corrupt, Least Popular Candidates of All Time.”
As a caption, Hillary’s team helpfully added, “A guide to help you make your choice for president.”
In Hillary’s defense, the headline—from Slate Magazine—was largely tongue-in-cheek, as it linked to a largely pro-Hillary article. The article listed 239 reasons not to vote for Donald Trump, and just one reason not to vote for Hillary Clinton—“Poor email server management,” a sugarcoated description of her being investigated by the FBI for endangering national security.
But a headline like that is something that should give Hillary’s campaign team pause, because—despite its attempt at humor, Hillary is, in fact, one of the “most corrupt, least popular” candidates ever to run for President—and if she wins the White House, she’d be the most hated incoming President in American history. Her approval stands at an abysmal 39%, according to the latest Fox News poll—just one point above Donald Trump’s.
Since the FBI reopened their criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton on Friday, her poll numbers have already begun to plummet. A new ABC tracking poll, which showed Hillary up 12 points on Trump less than two weeks ago, posted a whopping 13 point shift: it now shows Donald Trump leading by 1 point.
