Hat tip to Twitter user Jimmy Princeton for this gem. Here’s John Harwood, debate moderator, emailing the Clinton Campaign:
A reminder that John Harwood was allowed to moderate a GOP primary debate. https://t.co/iKHEgVYuGy – pic.twitter.com/o14LqlQAnL

Harwood has a bias problem, as the Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway noted while wondering why he was chosen to moderate a Republican debate way back when.
When this election is over, liberals and Never Trump conservative will try to forget that transparent bias that’s characterized this election. Some will justify it, on the grounds that they believe that Trump is an existential threat to the republic. This is of course absurd, as Harwood’s missive illustrates, and it shouldn’t be allowed. When confronted with the opportunity to interview Jeb Bush, the most establishment candidate in the election, the American news consumer needs to remember: Harwood didn’t consult his coworkers; he didn’t reach out to his editor. He did none of these things. Instead, he reached out to the manager of the Clinton campaign.
