James Hodgkinson was a Bernie Sanders volunteer and left-wing activist who attempted to assassinate several Republican members of Congress. His bullets nearly killed Representative Steve Scalise, who was the left hospitalized for months after the event. Hodgkinson came to a congressional baseball game practice and opened fire as soon as the Republicans took the field.
