Some post-election coverage has focused on allegations of dead people voting. Accusations that the departed voted quickly went viral. Even Fox News’ Tucker Carlson had to retract a claim after mistakingly reporting a dead man voted in Georgia.

Samaritans have provided Matthew with names of deceased people they genuinely believe were used to vote. While the number of false-positives Matthew has encountered suggests that kind of voter fraud is rare, it raises other questions.
