In the next clip from our interview with Matthew Braynard, Matthew explains how the Voter Integrity Fund’s efforts to cross-reference voter data and pinpoint potential fraud has raised the alarm in Wisconsin:
Matthew emphasizes that every state he’s analyzing data from has troubling points. Sometimes, his primary concern is residency requirements. In others, it’s absentee ballots.
The latter is the case in Wisconsin, which witnessed an explosion in the number of absentee ballots requested under “a very unique and rarely used excuse” that allows voters to obtain an absentee ballot without a photo ID. According to the Washington Examiner, 72,000 Wisconsin voters said they were “indefinitely confined” because of age, physical illness, or disability in 2019. Over 240,000 Wisconsinites reportedly took advantage of this loophole in 2020.
