The annihilation of Japan’s most powerful aircraft carriers in the Battle of Midway marked the turning point in World War II’s Pacific Theater.

But the titanic clash nearly turned into a complete disaster for the United States.

Now, it’s getting the Hollywood treatment – 43 years after the Charlton Heston and Henry Fonda starred the first dramatization of the battle on the big screen.
