In the wake of a shocking investigation by journalist James O’Keefe revealing what are alleged to be possible widespread fraudulent donations to Democratic candidates, lawmakers are now demanding the Federal Election Commission take action.
Looking into publicly-published fundraising reports by several liberal political groups, O’Keefe’s new “O’Keefe Media Group” venture alleges that millions of dollars in donations to Democratic candidates made through the “Act Blue” liberal fundraising platform are reported as being made by senior citizens who claim to have never donated the funds or have any knowledge of such donations.
“OMG’s video showed founder James O’Keefe visiting the homes of donors listed in FEC data who reportedly made large donations “thousands of times per year” to political campaigns like President Joe Biden’s, according to the video. O’Keefe confronted these individuals to confirm whether or not they made the payments, to which many appeared to say they did not,” the Daily Caller reports.
One senior citizen was reported as contributing over 31,000 times through ActBlue since 2019, with the donations totaling around $230,000.
“No, that’s not us.,” the alleged donor tells O’Keefe in the video.
“It appears somebody else may be committing a crime using your address,” O’Keefe told the individual.
It is a federal crime to donate to a political candidate in someone else’s name. ActBlue has also been criticized for accepting donations made with unverified credit cards. Most political fundraising platforms disable attempted donations from unverified credit cards, which can be used to evade federal laws prohibiting donations from foreign nationals or corporations.
U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), ranking member of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, has formally sent a letter to the Federal Election Commission requesting a briefing regarding what the FEC knows of the allegations, and what, if any, action the FEC has taken, is taking, or will take to address the allegations.
The FEC initially offered to brief Johnson’s staff, but soon backed out of the confirmed date.
According to Johnson’s office, the FEC then sent him a letter which “stated without much detail that it could not provide the requested briefing due to confidentiality limitations relating to potential enforcement activities. The FEC did not confirm or deny it was looking into the allegations raised in the online video.”
“I am disappointed that the FEC is refusing to provide transparency about its awareness of potential misconduct regarding political donations,” said Johnson wrote. “It is important for the FEC to be forthcoming with Congress and the public in order to maintain confidence in the FEC’s abilities to address potential wrongdoing. With this in mind, I request the FEC provide a full explanation related to the allegations contained in the March 28, 2023 video.”
If we cant verify the funds then all funding must be returned to the supposed doners….

James O’keefe needs to look at the fundraiser for Hillary Clinton s campaign in 2016. Rupert Murdock had a fundraiser for her in the UK or Great Britain. I thought it was odd it would be in a foreign country, and this verifies it should not have been done. Who’s going to investigate that? Too busy investigating Donald J Trump for alleged and disproved Russia interference in the 2016 election. You get crap like this from a Clinton, who has never been prosecuted for actual serious crimes. She has Benghazi on her shoulders.
